Welcome to

SPARK

What is Wildfire?

Although we’ve been mistaken for a fire prevention service, we’re actually a full-service, integrated marketing communications agency located in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

Cool...what does that mean?

Fueled by creativity, passion, and collaboration, we are here to do one thing: grow our clients’ business while lowering their blood pressure. On any given day, we have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, big and small. In everything we do—strategy, digital, social, design/art direction, experiential, and writing, from creation to presentation—we strive to become the go-to marketing communications partner for the person or company we serve.

Tell me about “Spark”

Spark is Wildfire’s paid summer intern$hip program.
Here’s some of what you’ll get the opportunity to do (besides getting paid):

  • Interact with clients
  • Immerse yourself in ongoing projects
  • Attend weekly seminars to learn about the industry and best practices
  • Tackle our immersive Brand Combustion Project
(yes, we take the fire theme seriously!)
  • Participate in office-wide social events
  • Network with marketing professionals and build lasting relationships

What will I accomplish (aka how does this spruce up my resume)?

We believe the best way for you to learn is to do.
Not make copies, or fetch coffee (unless you want to). We’re talking actual day-to-day work, on actual clients, that actually helps build their business.

You’ll learn how to decode the strategies behind ads in market, stay on top of trends and handle real-life client projects.

At the end of the program, you’ll have a chance to tackle a hypothetical client problem. We call this our Brand Combustion project (*insert explosion sound

effect here*). Previous interns have been tasked with solving Gap’s declining sales issue, addressing Courtyard by Marriott’s reservation competition with AirBnB, and developing a new service offering for Comcast Xfinity to combat cordcutters.
